Rise High Bakery is a volunteer vocational training program designed to teach baking skills and essential bakery business practices to autistic and other neurodivergent adults who are interested in baking.
We welcome adults with learning differences and varying levels of support needs to the baking program, and we are committed to providing a flexible, supportive, safe, and fun environment that can accommodate different learning styles. Our program is operated by volunteers, so participants who may require additional assistance and support in the kitchen are encouraged to bring a support person or job coach with them.
This training can help participants boost confidence, increase social interactions, have fun, develop important life- and work-related skills, and may open doors for future employment.
Rise High Bakery is dedicated to raising awareness of neurodiversity in Southern Wayne County and offering everyone the chance to enjoy our delicious baked goods while supporting a great cause!
Our Mission
At Rise High Bakery, our mission is to create a nurturing, safe, respectful, and fun environment where autistic and other neurodivergent adults of all ages are empowered by learning new skills in baking. Our program provides practical hands-on training in baking and essential bakery business practices, including everything from kitchen food and equipment safety, kitchen cleaning protocols, personal hygiene, understanding recipes and measurements, preparing and shaping dough, baking, packaging, labeling, and effectively selling baked goods.

Our vocational baking program and bakery offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience in a real-world setting, learning to create and sell a wide range of delicious baked goods.
